365 Days: This Day, the sequel to the successful 2020 movie based on the sexy and deeply romantic bestselling novels by Polish author Blanka Lipińska, is set to premiere on Netflix internationally on Wednesday, April 27.

While many will be looking forward to catching up with Laura and Massimo — considering the first movie ended on a pretty huge cliffhanger — some could be wondering whether the sequel will be a little bit more kid-friendly than the original. The synopsis for 365 Days: This Day seems pretty PG, but this could be fairly deceiving. It reads:

"“Laura and Massimo are back and stronger than ever. However, Massimo’s family ties and a mysterious man bidding for Laura’s heart complicate the lovers’ lives.”"

If you’re wondering if this is a movie you can sit down to watch with your kids and family, it might be a good idea to reconsider. We can categorically say that 365 Days: This Day is NOT appropriate for kids. Here’s why.

Why is 365 Days: This Day rated TV-MA?

As many would predict Laura and Massimo are reunited in the sequel, based on the second novel in the Lipińska trilogy, and they’re back to their extremely steamy ways. The movie includes sex and nudity, use of alcohol, smoking, drug use, sexual references, profanity, violence, use of weapons, and fighting, so it’s fair to say that kids under 17 should give the sequel a miss.

365 Days: This Day age rating

If the list above doesn’t change your mind about showing it to your kids, perhaps the official age rating will. According to IMDb, the sequel (just like the first movie) has been given a TV-MA rating, which means the movie is for “Mature Adults Only.” The official guidance for TV-MA-rated movies is that they are “intended to be viewed by mature, adult audiences and may be unsuitable for children under 17.”
