Molang

I’m cheating a little by including Molang since it is actually a television series and not a movie, but the show is about a big-hearted bunny, a cute chick and their colorful world of pastels. It doesn’t get much more Easter than that. A popular animated French series, Molang follows these two lovable characters on all sorts of adventures.

Each episode is only three minutes long, so if you watch all of season 1 at once it will basically equal the length of a movie. There are five seasons of the animated show in existence, but Netflix only has one for right now.

Even though this is a French show, you don’t necessarily need the subtitles as the characters don’t really speak as much as babble in something akin to how characters in Animal Crossing talk. There are English subtitles but you can understand what’s happening based on visuals without them.

Duck Duck Goose (2018)

Duck Duck Goose was co-produced by the United States and China. It was actually not released in theaters in the U.S. despite initial plans to do so and was later released on Netflix. This computer-animated comedy film stars several notable voices, like Jim Gaffigan, Carl Reiner and Zendaya.

The story centers on Peng (Gaffigan), a goose whose flock is preparing to migrate to China. Peng’s blasé attitude is frowned upon by flock leader Bing (Diedrich Bader). In an effort to live his life on his own terms, Peng rejects his community of geese and tries to strike out on his own.

In the process, he rescues two young ducklings, Chi (Zendaya) and Chao (Lance Lim), and the two latch onto Peng like a parent. The makeshift trio embarks on a dangerous journey through caves, deep river valleys, mountains and lakes to return to their flocks.
