The last time we saw Ari, she was recovering from being physically assaulted by Armando in season 4. It was unknown if she and Samuel would be getting together even though it was revealed that she loved him.

In season 5, the story picks up right where it left off in season 4. Winter break is over, and the students are back at Las Encinas. New students have arrived at the school and have caused quite a stir amongst the core group. One of those new students becomes acquainted with Ari, and something happens.

Do Ari and Iván get together in Elite season 5?

Technically, Ari and Iván do not get together. However, they do sleep with each other twice this season. The first time happens at Benjamín’s charity auction. There was already an attraction between Ari and Iván since the night of the drive-in movie when Iván kissed her. Then, at the charity auction, Ari and Iván decide to skip out on the auction and go on a boat ride. As they come back on the boat after a swim, Iván warms Ari up by hugging her. The sexual tension becomes too much, and they sleep together on the boat. But after they arrive from the boat ride, Ari tells Iván that what they did never happened and to leave her alone.

Ari spends most of the season trying to forget what happened and stay with Samuel, but when Samuel gets arrested for Armando’s murder, she falls back into the arms of Iván. At Iván’s dating auction, they both bid on each other, and then Iván asks Ari for one last night together before Samuel is released from jail. So they leave the auction and go back to his place to sleep together.

The next day, Samuel is back at Las Encinas. Ari tells Iván that things are back to normal and that she can’t be with him. Later that day, Ari sits by the pool at her house, listening to a voicemail sent by Iván. In the voicemail, Iván speaks about how much he can’t stop thinking about a person, and Ari thinks he’s talking about her. At the end of the voicemail, Iván says Patrick’s name and Ari looks shocked.

The next day, Ari, Patrick, and Mencía sit around in a classroom at Las Encinas. In conversation, Ari brings up the voicemail Iván sent to her to Patrick and tells him that Iván wants to be with him, not her. This is when Ari leaves Iván alone for good since he has stronger feelings for Patrick.
