Green Eggs and Ham season 2 is finally streaming on Netflix after a 2+ year wait. Audiences across the globe are already diving into the beautifully-animated series to see what the new season has in store!

In season 2, or “The Second Serving,” as it is being promoted, Guy-Am-I (Michael Douglas) and Sam-I-Am (Adam DeVine) embark on a new adventure, this time to find Sam’s mom, Pam-I-Am (Patricia Clarkson). They’re joined by E.B. (Ilana Glazer) after her apprehensive mom Michellee (Diane Keaton) finally agrees to loosen the reigns. This season is sure to be whimsilarating!

Like season 1, Green Eggs and Ham does feature some mild peril, with characters getting themselves into dangerous situations. Plus, sometimes animated shows can be even raunchier than live-action (see Big Mouth), and parents might want to ensure whether or not the new season is safe to watch with their kids. Luckily, Green Eggs and Ham is a far cry from adult animated comedies, so you should have no problem watching it with your children.

However, it’s understandable that parents are looking for a guide that provides a clearer sense of what content they can expect in season 2. We’ve created a helpful parents guide to provide you with clarity regarding this season’s age rating and whether it contains anything that might be not suitable for younger audiences.

Green Eggs and Ham season 2 age rating

Green Eggs and Ham season 2 has an age rating of TV-Y7, an age rating that is assigned to programs intended to be viewed by individuals and kids above the age of 7.

According to TV parental guidelines, programs that receive a rating of TV-Y7 (which is one step up from TV-Y) often contain some mild fantasy violence or comedic violence that might be frightening to children under 7.

Are there any frightening scenes in Green Eggs and Ham season 2?

A couple of sequences might be frightening to some children, but they are few and far between. There is one that occurs in the second episode and sees the characters riding on animals in a stampede, with E.B. almost falling off. Beyond that, there are a couple of moments involving creatures in the ocean and talk of weapons that place characters in peril, but everything is usually lightened with comedy, and no one stays in danger for too long.
