15 best shows Netflix needs to reboot (from the past 15 years)
90210
Just to clarify, I’m talking about the fourth series in the Beverly Hills, 90210 franchise. It aired on The CW from September 2008 to May 2013. Since it was a reboot of the iconic Beverly Hills, 90210, there was a lot of pressure to live up to the original. However, I think the reboot was very entertaining and fun to watch.
The story begins with a Kansas family moving to Beverly Hills, where the two children must find a way to adapt to the famed West Beverly High School. 90210 never failed to deliver the drama, and that’s one of the main reasons the show was able to go on for five seasons. The teen drama highlighted many topics that weren’t really being talked about at the time. The characters were compelling, the acting was great, and the storylines were often suspenseful and kept you coming back for more. I believe enough time has passed for a re-emergence of 90210, and Netflix would be the perfect streaming home.
One Tree Hill
Must I explain why One Tree Hill is one of the best shows that needs a reboot? One Tree Hill had all the drama, passion, hardships, and romance that anyone could possibly be looking for in a drama series. Although the friendships in the show were complicated at times and very intense, you couldn’t help but be invested and fall in love with them. In addition, One Tree Hill put many actors on the map like Chad Michael Murray, Hilarie Burton, Sophia Bush, James Lafferty, Bethany Joy Lenz, and many others.
There were so many relatable and lovable characters that everyone could connect with. The show also featured several intense love triangles that were enthralling. It was nearly impossible to pick a side. And don’t get me started on the crazy plot twists! I think people are in need of more shows like One Tree Hill, and a reboot will do the job.
