Jonathan Bailey shares a promising update on his Bridgerton future as Anthony

Bridgerton season 2 is holding tight to its No. 1 ranking on the top 10 list, and it doesn’t seem like it will be falling off the list any time soon. This season, we see Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey) take center stage as he enters the marriage mart to find a suitable partner.

Anthony meets the Sharma sisters and becomes instantly enthralled with the younger sister (Edwina) and annoyed by the seemingly overbearing older sister (Kate). However, Anthony eventually develops feelings for Kate, which sets up a complicated love triangle. If you watched the second season, you’d know who Anthony ultimately ends up with. We’ve seen a plot like this plenty of times in film and TV, and the story almost always ends the same. But it’s how Bridgerton puts its own spin on the plot that makes it so unique.

While some fans of the Bridgerton book series were disappointed by the changes made in the second season, others were thrilled to see how everything came together. If the show’s ranking on the top 10 list is anything to go by, then I’d say people are loving the latest season. Reviews have come in and most people are saying the same thing: They want more of Anthony Bridgerton.

Anthony’s potential return in future seasons was initially unknown because his story was told this season. If you’re not aware, each season of the period drama series will tell a different Bridgerton family member’s story. With the exit of the Duke of Hastings (Regé-Jean Page) after season 1, people have reason to believe that this may happen to Anthony after season 2.

However, we did see Daphne a couple of times in season 2. So will we see Jonathan Bailey reprise his role as Anthony in future seasons? Here’s what the Bridgerton star had to say about his potential return.

Will Jonathan Bailey be in future seasons of Bridgerton?

Jonathan Bailey spoke with USA Today and said, “I’m not going to miss a wedding. Let’s put it that way. As much as I’m needed, I’ll be there.” So, there you have it! We haven’t seen the last of the charming Anthony Bridgerton.

You can also expect Simone Ashley to return in her role as Kate for at least the third installment. Hopefully, she appears in all seasons. But she’s only been confirmed to be in the next season. Phoebe Dynevor, who plays Daphne, has not spoken out about if she’ll be in future seasons, but we think there’s a good chance she will.

Since the next season will focus on another Bridgerton, we’ll probably see Anthony and Kate as much as we saw Daphne in season 2. Nonetheless, we’re excited to see their return!
