Don’t underestimate the power of Anthony Bridgerton and Kate Sharma! Following in the illustrious footsteps of the romantic drama’s blockbuster first season, Bridgerton season 2 premiered on March 25 and already has the world talking — and watching!

On the Netflix top 10 website, Bridgerton season 2 ranks in the peak position with over 193 million hours watched within the first three days of its release. According to TV Line, those numbers set a new opening weekend viewership record for an English-language series on Netflix.

Netflix’s hit Spanish series Money Heist part 5 grabbed over 201 million hours watched, which doesn’t come as a surprise given the show’s popularity. Many other Netflix shows and movies have put up equally impressive numbers, but not quite like Money Heist and Bridgerton.

Bridgerton season 2 could be poised to make additional Netflix history with its ranking on the top 10, and with at least two more seasons confirmed to be on the way, the Regency drama stands to leave a lasting and formidable legacy. It’s just getting started!

Bridgerton season 2 makes Netflix history

While the opening weekend performance of Bridgerton season 2 is incredible, the series will surely continue its dominance on Netflix — at least until Ozark season 4 part 2 premieres on April 29. But there’s still time for Bridgerton to notch another achievement.

Last year, Manifest became one of the only shows to spend 100 days or more in the Netflix top 10. At that time, Bridgerton ranked in the eighth position with 71 ways spent in the top 10, placing below the likes of Outer Banks, All American, Virgin River, and more.

Bridgerton could very well spend an additional month or more ranking in the Netflix top 10 and again make more Netflix history. Perhaps it could even became the series that spends the most days in the top 10, but it will be hard to beat Cocomelon.
