The story is set in 1925 and follows a rancher named Phil Burbank, who many view as domineering and cruel. When his younger brother brings home a new wife and her son, Phil begins to torment them until something unexpected happens.

Besides Plemons, Benedict Cumberbatch, Kirsten Dunst, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Thomasin McKenzie, Genevieve Lemon, Keith Carradine, and Frances Conroy star in the film.

I’m Thinking of Ending Things (2020)

I’m Thinking of Ending Things is a psychological thriller written and directed by Charlie Kaufman. It’s a movie adaptation of the 2016 book titled the same name by Iain Reid. The story follows a young woman who finds herself questioning if she wants to be with her boyfriend after going on a trip with him to meet his parents.

Jessie Buckley portrays the young woman who finds herself having doubts about her relationship, and Jesse Plemons plays Jake, the boyfriend. Toni Collette and David Thewlis also star as Jake’s parents in the film.

The Master (2012)

The Master is a drama film written and directed by Paul Thomas Anderson. The cast includes Plemons, Joaquin Phoenix, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Amy Adams, Laura Dern, Ambyr Childers, Rami Malek, and many others. The Irishman is a crime drama film directed by Martin Scorsese from a screenplay written by Steven Zaillian. It is based on the 2004 nonfiction novel titled I Heard You Paint Houses by Charles Brandt.

The Irishman tells the true story of mob hitman Frank Sheeran. It follows Sheeran in his later years of life as he looks back on the events that ultimately made him one of the most notorious hitmen of the 20th century. Robert De Niro plays Frank Sheeran and Jesse Plemons portrays Chuckie O’Brien. Al Pacino, Joe Pesci, Ray Romano, Bobby Cannavale, Anna Paquin, Stephen Graham, and Harvey Keitel are also members of the cast.

Other People (2016)

Other People is a comedy-drama movie written and directed by Chris Kelly. It is about a struggling comedy writer who moves back home to take care of his dying mother after a bad breakup. Plemons stars as David Mulcahey, the protagonist of the film. Molly Shannon, Bradley Whitford, Maude Apatow, Madisen Beaty, John Early, Zach Woods, Josie Totah, and June Squibb are also a part of the cast.

Battleship (2012)

Battleship is a science-fiction film that is based on the board game of the same name. Peter Berg directed the movie from a screenplay co-written by Jon Hoeber and Erich Hoeber. The Discovery is a romantic sci-fi film directed by Charlie McDowell. McDowell and Justin Lader co-wrote the screenplay together. The well-ensemble cast includes Jason Segel, Rooney Mara, Jesse Plemons, Riley Keough, and Robert Redford.

Friday Night Lights is a sports drama series created by Peter Berg. The show is based on the 2004 film titled the same name and the 1990 nonfiction book titled Friday Night Lights: A Town, a Team, and a Dream by H. G. Bissinger.

The series follows the lives of a high school football team, Dillon Panthers, and the team’s head coach. The well-ensemble cast comprises Kyle Chandler, Connie Britton, Jesse Plemons, Gaius Charles, Zach Gilford, Minka Kelly, Adrianne Palicki, Taylor Kitsch, Scott Porter, and others.

Black Mirror (2011)

Plemons appeared in the first episode of season 4 of the British anthology series Black Mirror. The episode is titled “USS Callister.” Here is the episode synopsis via IMDB, “Capt.
