Netflix is adding 27 new movies and shows this week
A new week is here and while that means one step closer to spring, it also means a bunch of new movies and shows are being added to Netflix. This week brings a new movie with a dog (let’s hope nothing bad happens to it), a spin-off of a Netflix Original series, a new cooking competition show, and a new Netflix Original crime thriller.
If you’ve only ever seen Grant Gustin as The Flash, get ready to see him in a different light in Rescued by Ruby. The movie follows Dan who is trying to follow his dream of joining an elite K-9 unit. He teams up with Ruby, a border collie/Australian shepherd mix who was just about to be euthanized. He saves her and together they work to make it onto the exclusive police force.
The movie hits Netflix on Thursday, March 17, 2022.

Human Resources, a spin-off of Big Mouth, is also headed to Netflix this week. Instead of following the kids dealing with puberty, it looks more into the Hormone Monsters that are supposed to help them through that difficult time. The show will also give us an inside look into Depression Kitties, Shame Wizards, and all the creatures we’ve come to know from Big Mouth.
It becomes clear early on that although the Hormone Monsters are supposed to help guide humans along on their journey through puberty and adulthood, they have problems and stresses of their own.
The series will come to Netflix on Friday, March 18, 2022.

More in the mood for cake? You’re in luck because Is It Cake? is also heading to the streaming service on Friday, March 18, 2022. The series features a group of expert bakers as they make cakes that look like everyday objects. But can they make their cakes so convincing that they fool a panel of judges? You’ll have to watch and see. The show is hosted by SNL cast member Mikey Day.

Windfall, Netflix’s latest star-studded movie, is also coming to Netflix on Friday, March 18, 2022. The movie stars Lily Collins, Jesse Plemons, Jason Segal, and Omar Leyva and tells the story of a man who breaks into a tech billionaire’s vacation home.
But things do not go as planned when the billionaire and his wife arrive when the man is still in their house. Let’s just say, the guy…is not great at robbing people, but despite that, he will do just about anything to seek vengeance against the rich couple.
