The Adam Project has finally premiered on Netflix, and the new Netflix original movie will definitely be one of the biggest movie premieres of the year.

Ryan Reynolds stars in The Adam Project, which was directed by Stranger Things executive producer Shawn Levy, as the titular Adam. Well, he’s a version of Adam from the future, who returns to the past and meets up with his younger self in order to save the future.

It’s a movie full of colorful action sequences, thrilling sci-fi mythology, and heart-wrenching (and warming) emotional family drama. Mark Ruffalo, Jennifer Garner, Zoe Saldaña, Catherine Keener, and Walker Scobell also star in the Netflix blockbuster-in-the-making.

But another important aspect of The Adam Project is the music that soundtracks some of the most pivotal moments. There are so many beloved classic rock throwbacks featured in the movie, and you’re probably wondering exactly what they are so you can add them to your playlist.

The Adam Project soundtrack

The Adam Project soundtrack utilizes energetic music from the past, which fits the time-travel aspect of the plot and matches the old-school action movie tone. The movie is so much fun to watch, and that’s in thanks part to the music.

Check out the songs featured in The Adam Project:

  • “Gimme Some Lovin'” by The Spencer Davis Group
  • “Good Times Bad Times” by Led Zeppelin
  • “Time After Time” by Neil Archer
  • “Let It Be” by Matt Berninger
  • “Foreplay/Long Time” by Boston
  • “Let My Love Open the Door” by Pete Townsend

The movie opens with “Gimme Some Lovin'” and calls back to it later on in one of the climactic moments. Classic rock fans will love the tracks from Led Zeppelin and Boston, and the bittersweet closing song “Let My Love Open the Door” will have some crying during the film’s end.

Make sure to watch The Adam Project only on Netflix, and share which song from the soundtrack was your favorite in the movie!
