Outer Banks cast: Where to follow the actors on Instagram

Good news OBX fans! Based on a recent Instagram post by one of the show’s directors, it looks like filming for Outer Banks season 3 is officially underway. Since the second season dropped on Netflix back in July 2021, we’ve been eagerly waiting for more.

Thankfully, the streaming service didn’t make us wait too long for a third season announcement. In December 2021, the Outer Banks Twitter account posted a video with the cast sharing the great news. Since then, we’ve been wondering when filming for the next season would begin.

It’s thanks to social media that we have some content to tide us over while we wait between seasons. Although none of the popular show’s leading stars have posted about filming yet, it’s  just a matter of time.

So you’re sure to catch all those behind-the-scenes goodies, we’ve rounded up where to follow the actors on Instagram.

Madelyn Cline Instagram

We’re starting off the list with the leading lady of the show, Madelyn Cline. Our Sarah Cameron can be found on Instagram at @madelyncline. Lately, the lovely actress has been sharing lots of Instagram-worthy posed photos, as well as what’s happening in her personal life. But don’t worry, she’s also known to share behind-the scenes content so we’ll probably be getting that soon enough!

Chase Stokes Instagram

Leading man Chase Stokes, who plays our beloved John B, can be found at @hichasestokes. His Instagram page has a mix of content, including some posts about his work outside of Outer Banks. In one post, he shared that he’s wrapped filming for Netflix movie, Uglies, which he stars in opposite Joey King. You’ll find lots of fun photos of Chase and his Outer Banks co-stars having fun outside of work. Aw!

Rudy Pankow Instagram

JJ. The one who always just needs a hug. The awesome actor behind the character is Rudy Pankow, or @rudeth on Instagram. We love to support the actors in their other roles, and Rudy has a movie called Uncharted coming out soon. That’s his most recent post, with the last OBX post shared 10 weeks ago announcing the show would be coming back for a third season.

Madison Bailey Instagram

If you’re looking to follow the lovely Kiara actress, Madison Bailey’s Instagram handle is @madisonbaileybabe. The actress is pretty good about posting lots of behind-the-scenes tidbits. Mixed in with that are pictures of she and her girlfriend, basketball player Mariah Linney. Seriously, their photos are too cute! Out of all the Pogues, it looks like she’s the one who posts the most.

Jonathan Daviss Instagram

@jonathandavissofficial is how you’ll find the actor who plays Pope on the show. Like most of his co-stars, Jonathan has been relatively active on Instagram between seasons. Jonathan doesn’t actually post many on-set photos, but he does post about the fun outings he has with his OBX co-stars.

Charles Esten Instagram

The biggest villain of our story and the character we all love to hate, @charles_esten is where you’ll find the Ward Cameron actor. He’s one of the most active cast members with a total of 1,629 posts. This guy is so talented at being bad, and he’s got the same talent with music. His latest posts have been focused on his latest musical project.

Drew Starkey Instagram

Next comes Rafe Cameron, aka @drewstarkey. Drew isn’t super active on Instagram. He seems to share more while the show is filming or when they’ve wrapped, providing us with the behind-the-scenes content we need. So be patient, we’re bound to get more soon!

Austin North Instagram

And finally, the ex-boyfriend who just can’t take a hint. Actor Austin North who plays Kook, Topper, can be found at @austinnorth55. In November last year, Austin launched a clothing brand (yay for him!), Honest Society. His page is a mix of promotion for Honest Society, as well as the shenanigans he gets up to with his OBX co-stars. He posts pretty often, so keep your eyes on Austin’s page!

If there’s one takeaway, it’s that this cast loves to hang out and have fun together even outside of filming. And that certainly makes our hearts happy! We’re lucky we’ve got a cast that’s great about posting behind-the-scenes goodies. I can’t wait to get the first looks of Outer Banks season 3 from them very soon. Fingers crossed!
