The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window

There appears to be two schools of thought when it comes to the Netflix original dark comedy series The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window: Those who go it and want more… and those who didn’t quite understand what the show was going for.

Kristen Bell stars in the satiric thriller as the titular woman in the house, who drinks a bit too much wine to soak up the tragedy in her past. While peering out her window, she believes she’s witnesses a murder at her new neighbor’s house, but no one else believes her retelling. It’s exactly the mystery-thriller it’s mocking while revving up the crazy until the big finish.

Although it’s being called a limited series, The Woman in the House could turn over into an anthology series if the story came together in an equally thrilling manner as the first season. The mystery gets tied up into a neat little bow, but the finale features an A-list cameo and introduces a whole new mystery for Bell’s unreliable lead character to untangle.

Whether Netflix decides to keep The Woman in the House as a one-off limited series or bring Bell back for another season with a new story (and potentially a new title!), nothing will take away from its wild ride. But we’re totally on the side of renewing the show for season 2!
