The Woman in the House was released on Jan. 28, and people can’t stop talking about the surprise cameo of an award-winning actress in the series!

The leading actress, Kristen Bell, teased in a press release from Netflix that there would be a “big juicy cameo right at the end” of the show, and people couldn’t wait to see who it was. Now that most of us have watched the Netflix original series, we were pleasantly surprised by who made a brief appearance in the final episode. Just know that this person is an icon!

If you wish to remain spoiler-free, we suggest you click off this article because we’re about to reveal the identity of the juicy cameo below.

The Woman in the House spoilers ahead!

Who makes a cameo in The Woman in the House?

Drum roll, please! The A-list actress who makes an appearance in the crime drama series is… Glenn Close! Yes, we’re talking about the incredible actress who brought to life the infamous villain Cruella de Vil in101 Dalmatians and 102 Dalmatians. Who would’ve thought this phenomenal talent would be a part of this show? Not us at Netflix Life!

Who does Glenn Close play in The Woman in the House?

In the last moments of the final episode, Anna is on the plane to New York City to visit her friend Sloane for a girls’ weekend when a mysterious woman comes up to her and accuses her of sitting in her seat. By the mysterious person’s voice alone, I could tell that it was Glenn Close. And when the camera showed the person, my guess was correct.

Anna apologizes and moves over a seat. To make the situation less awkward, Anna starts talking and tells the mysterious woman that she’s a nervous flier and is going to New York to visit a friend. While Anna is talking, the woman takes out a compact mirror and looks at herself in the mirror. Anna looks over at the woman and asks her why she is going to New York. The woman immediately stops what she’s doing, gives Anna an intense look, and replies, “Business.” After seeing the look on the mysterious woman’s face, I knew something bad was going to happen.

Then, we cut to Anna waking up from a nap to go to the restroom. Once she opens the restroom door, she finds the mysterious woman murdered. She’s slumped over on the floor with blood coming from her ear. Anna freaks out and gets the flight attendant, but when she shows him what she found, the woman is not there.

The flight attendant walks Anna back to her seat while Anna tries to explain to him what she saw. She explains that the woman sitting next to her in seat 2A was dead in the restroom. The flight attendant tells her that no one was in 2A. Anna sits back in her seat and is freaking out. She knows she’s not seeing things but needs proof. Anna looks down at seat 2A and notices the same compact mirror that the mysterious woman had. She picks it up to observe it and realizes that it is the same mirror. She smirks and says, “Bingo.”

Based on the smirk that Anna gives at the end of the episode, we just might see her go on a new mission to find out who murdered the mysterious woman in a potential The Woman in the House season 2. This could also mean that we’ll see more of Glenn Close. Since her character is dead, we’ll probably see her mostly in flashbacks. But who knows? She might not be dead… We won’t know until The Woman in the House season 2 comes out. Hopefully, we get to see a second installment to the crime drama series because there’s definitely more story to tell.

All eight episodes of The Woman in the House are streaming now on Netflix.
