Love is Blind: Japan made its Netflix debut on Tuesday, Feb. 8. The first five episodes of the dating series introduced viewers to the participants in the Japanese version of the hit social experiment as well as the love connections some of them struck in the pods.

Sight unseen, they’ll select the person they believe would make the best life partner for themselves. In picking their potential soulmate, they’ll set themselves on a unique journey of discovering whether the choice they made by getting to know their fiancee in a set of pods over a course of days to weeks was the right one.

It’s a process that reveals who hid aspects of their lives and personalities that could be deal breakers and who gave all of themselves to this social experiment with the hope of finding a spouse. Keep reading for more information on the show including its official synopsis and who’s in the cast.
