Too Hot to Handle season 3 has officially dropped, and people are tuning in to see if the new cast of sex-obsessed singles will be able to abstain from sexual contact and win the $200,000 prize fund at the end of the show.

If you’re not familiar with the reality show, Too Hot to Handle revolves around 10 contestants who are all used to engaging in meaningless flings with no genuine connections. However, when the contestants enter the show, they quickly find out the rules of the game and let’s just say they aren’t too excited about them.

The contestants from season 3 enter the reality series thinking that it’s a typical dating show called Pleasure Island, where they can flirt, kiss, and have sexual relations with each other. But, once a cone-shaped electronic device named Lana makes an appearance, the contestants realize that they’re on Too Hot to Handle, not Pleasure Island.

Is Pleasure Island a real show, or was it made up for Too Hot to Handle season 3? We answer this burning question right below.

Spoilers ahead for Too Hot to Handle season 3!

Is Pleasure Island a real show from Too Hot to Handle season 3?

Pleasure Island is not a real show. Like in previous seasons of Too Hot to Handle, the contestants are tricked into believing that they’re on a dating show. They get the opportunity to mingle and pretty much do whatever they want with each other for 12 hours until a sex ban goes into effect. In season 3, the fake reality show was called Pleasure Island.

There isn’t a real show called Pleasure Island. However, there is a reality dating show with a similar name called Temptation Island that currently airs on USA Network. So there you have it, folks! Pleasure Island is only fictional.

Too Hot to Handle season 3 is now streaming on Netflix. Make sure to check it out if you haven’t already.
