Who’s that girl? Well, it’s Jess, of course. How could we ever forget? The beloved Fox comedy series New Girl currently streams its complete series on Netflix, and it’s hands-down one of the funniest shows you could ever add to your watch list. Although, it is kind of blasphemous to believe there’s anyone left in the world who hasn’t ventured into the loft gang’s own little world.

Zooey Deschanel stars in New Girl as the titular new girl, Jess Day, a teacher undergoing a whole lot of change after she catches her boyfriend cheating. Naturally, she moves into a Los Angeles loft with three men she met via Craigslist, and all of their lives aren’t ever the same. From romances to feuds over parking spots, this crew endures all of life’s strangest ups and downs as a team.

New Girl, while its own brand of romantic comedy at heart, just might be the strongest modern successor to Friends. With its own sense of humor and unique storytelling, New Girl deserves to be the once-in-a-generation show that lives on for many years and many laughs. You will be hard pressed to find another show as worthy of laughter as this one, a true (American) gem.
