Who is Cobra Kai’s Ralph Macchio married to?

Cobra Kai season 4 is just days away from being released on Netflix and if you’ve been keeping up with the original series then you’ll be well aware that Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) does not end up with his original Karate Kid (1984) high-school love interest, Ali Mills (Elisabeth Shue).

But unlike his character, the 60-year-old actor is still with his childhood sweetheart.

According to Country Living, the Cobra Kai star’s wife is a nurse-practitioner, and during the COVID-19 pandemic, she has been tirelessly working on the frontlines. On The Drew Barrymore Show, the 60-year-old actor praised his wife for her heroic acts during the global crisis. “She’s you know, one of the heroes of the family,” Macchio said. “That’s for sure… In her line of work.”

The couple first met at a birthday party when the original Karate Kid was just 15 years old and shortly after they began a relationship. Now 34 years later, the couple is still happily married and share two kids together: Daniel, 25 and Julia, 28.

During an episode of Live! With Kelly and Ryan in 2019, Ralph Macchio recalled the day he met his future wife, saying, “I was 15 … and we met at my cousin’s Sweet Sixteen … and we met and hit it off, and we’re still in love, and it’s awesome.”

Ahead of his 34th wedding anniversary earlier this year, Ralph Macchio was asked by People what was his secret to a long-lasting loving relationship, to which the 60-year-old actor shared his idea of what makes a successful marriage, to which he said: “It’s the belief through the easy times, through the tough times, whatever we encounter, that we are meant to be together.”
