Since Manifest launched, we’ve been taken on a journey full of mystery. The concept of the show stands out, something I’m certainly seeking when I’m ready to watch something new. I’m sure many of you TV lovers would agree!

And anyone on Netflix has heard about Manifest. There’s no way you haven’t. When the show was cancelled on NBC, fans rallied for the #SaveManifest campaign. Once Netflix dropped the first two seasons of the series, that love poured over and it became just the third show to spend 100 days or more on Netflix’s top 10 list. After that, the streaming service knew what they had to do.

Now we’re eagerly waiting for Manifest season 4, which has started filming. We’re very hopeful the final season will drop sometime in 2022. Netflix has ordered a 20-episode season to wrap up the wonderful story.

For those of you who don’t know what it’s about, here’s a quick synopsis: While traveling from Jamaica to New York City, Montego Air Flight 828 experiences some turbulence. When they land, the plane’s passengers are told they’ve been presumed dead for five and a half years, but no time passed for them. The characters need to deal with this passage of time in their lives and how it affects their families. The passengers also begin to hear voices and get visions which they refer to as “callings.”

Sounds so intriguing, right? Let’s jump in! Here’s why you need to be watching Manifest.

Why you need to be watching Manifest

The story

As you can tell from the synopsis, the show has a great concept (not that I’m biased or anything). There’s some shows that feel like they’ve been on for too long or the story is repetitive. What’s great about this soaring show is that the mystery of the callings and what it all means has been unfolding for the past three seasons. But it doesn’t feel like the story is dragging. Creator Jeff Rake and his team of writers have done a great job of giving us just enough, but still wanting more.
