Never underestimate the power of fandom. Thanks to its loyal base of fans, Lucifer has outlived itself, against all odds, time and time again. When Fox canceled the series after three seasons, the fans spoke up until Netflix saved the series for season 4. When season 5 was initially announced as the final season, all of the love Lucifer had received led to the series earning a pickup for a sixth and final season. If there’s ever any solid evidence to fight for what you believe in, it’s the superficial example of a fanbase loyally standing behind a television show so fiercely that it survives the chopping block not once but twice.
Lucifer season 6 premiered on Netflix on Sept. 10, 2021. It’s such a bummer we have to say goodbye to this great series, but at least the series goes out with a bang and a great ending.
Tom Ellis stars in the series as Lucifer Morningstar, the Lord of Hell who finds himself forging a new path in Los Angeles. Over the course of six seasons, the series has welcomed various cast members, as noted above, including the likes of Tom Welling.
