The Cave

This movie has an insane cast for a horror film with a 12% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. It stars Piper Perabo, Morris Chestnut, Cole Hauser, Eddie Cibrian, Lena Headey, and Daniel Dae Kim. That’s a lot of talented people for a movie people don’t love.

The Cave follows a group of divers to an underwater cave. But they are not alone. A creature waits for them, and it’s ready to kill. The divers are researching the history of the caves and they use this special breathing device to ensure they can stay underwater for up to 24 hours.

But almost as soon as they get underwater, the group is attacked and one of them is killed, which ends up causing a cave-in that traps them in the cave and looking for a new way out. The divers also find the remains of the people who were trapped in the cave before. Creepy! Little do they know that history may be about to repeat itself.

As they make their way through the cave, they discover things about the people that came before them. They also find out about one of their own that changes things entirely. And not just for the team. It could change things for the entire world!

While this doesn’t have the best rating, sometimes those are the best horror movies. Or at least the ones that are the most fun to watch. Who among us hasn’t spent an afternoon enjoying an awful SyFy movie? This was released in theaters so it has to be at least better than that, right??
