Legacies season 3 is finally on Netflix

The question that has been on the mind of every Legacies fan since season 3 ended this summer has been answered. Legacies season 3 is finally available to stream on Netflix.

In one of the most curious cases in The CW‘s history with Netflix, Legacies season 3 was not added to the streamer eight days after its televised season finale on June 24, 2021. We expected the 16-episode season to arrive on July 2, but season 3 never started streaming.

It’s been a huge question ever since, and we even stated that Legacies season 3 wouldn’t be coming to Netflix in October 2021. The fan-favorite series wasn’t included on the month’s Netflix new releases list. Clearly, that’s no longer the case.

Legacies wasn’t the only show from The CW missing from Netflix the week after their finales. Legends of Tomorrow and Riverdale also had fans wondering when they would have the chance to catch up on the new episodes on Netflix. Well, wonder no more.

Is Legacies season 3 on Netflix?

At long last, Netflix added Legacies season 3 on Monday, Oct. 18, thus ending the months-long Legacies drought. The streamer also surprised fans with Riverdale season 5, Legends of Tomorrow season 6, and the first seven episodes of Supergirl season 6.

Finally, fans of each series can catch up on these shows before their new seasons premiere — though some of them have already premiered. Fortunately, you won’t have to wait as long to check out Legacies season 4 as you did to see season 3 on Netflix.

Legacies season 4 release date

Even though season 3 didn’t start streaming beforehand, Legacies season 4 premiered on The CW on Thursday, Oct. 14. There’s still time to sneak in a quick binge of season 3 before the fourth season gets too far underway.

If history repeats itself, Legacies season 4 should arrive on Netflix in spring 2022. The first and second seasons premiered in October and ended in late March. Unless there’s another mystery hold like with season 3, fans should see Legacies season 4 on Netflix in April 2022.
