Night Stalker: The Hunt for a Serial Killer

Release Year: 2021

Directed by Tiller Russell

Night Stalker: The Hunt for a Serial Killer is a four-part true crime docuseries. The Night Stalker wreaked havoc in Los Angeles in the 1980s. The crimes included brutal attacks, assaults, kidnappings, and violent home invasions. The cops eventually realized they were looking for a single person and not a group of people. The criminal didn’t seem to have any boundaries on who they would victimize or where. Since the attacks were random, the authorities couldn’t predict where they would strike next and relied heavily on creating a killer profile while collecting evidence. Richard Ramirez was named the Night Stalker.

Ramirez’s crimes are horrifying to hear and for the victims to retell for the docuseries. There were no specific patterns Ramirez followed, and everything he did was chaotic. Night Stalker is a scary binge that should have you hooked from the beginning. The story is instantly eerie and keeps you wondering what would happen next. The first two episodes feel like a slow burn to see person after person getting murdered and the failure of the police force to track down the killer.

Watch Night Stalker: The Hunt for a Serial Killer if you are a fan of true crime and eager to learn more about the Night Stalker crimes that terrorized Los Angeles.
