How does the Core Four reunite in On My Block season 4?

On My Block season 4 was just released on Netflix, and fans flocked to the streamer to see what happens in the final season. Fans wanted to see if the core four would come back together and how the reunion would happen. Monse, Cesar, Jamal, and Ruby couldn’t stay mad at each other forever, right? These questions are answered in the final season and what happened was somewhat expected.

Most loose ends were tied in On My Block season 4, but there were some situations that happened where we never got the answers. I guess the hit Netflix original wanted to leave some things to the imagination.

At the end of season 3, the core four seemingly looked to be on bad terms. This is why we were patiently and impatiently waiting for On My Block season 4 to drop on Netflix because we had to get to the bottom of this unfortunate situation.

How does the Core Four reunite in On My Block season 4?

They reunite in episode 4. When the LAPD finds Cuchillos remains in the Angeles Crest Forest, they open up an investigation. It takes months before they find a new lead. That new lead is the core four. The LAPD gets a tip from an Uber driver who claims that he drove Monse, Cesar, Ruby, and Jamal to the Angeles Crest Forest the day of Cuchillos’s disappearance.

The LAPD then contacts the core four and brings them in for questioning. The squad comes back together at the police station, and it’s not a warming reunion either. But, they know that they’re going to have to come up with a good lie together, and everyone will have to stick to the script. So they agree to put their issues with each other aside and come up with an elaborate lie.

The lie that they come up with is bizarre, but the LAPD seems to buy it. After being released from questioning, the core four go their separate ways. We don’t actually see them truly on good terms until episode 7, when they’re helping Cesar with an important matter.

The first reunion might not have played out how some fans wanted, but it made the most sense. There were many things that happened and were said between the core four that needed to be discussed, and the police station wasn’t the place to hash it out.

It took a while before we saw Monse, Cesar, Ruby, and Jamal laughing and hanging out together again in season 4, but it was expected. When they got back on good terms, it was like they were never apart.
