Sex Education renewed for season 4 at Netflix’s TUDUM event

Sex Education season 3 just debuted earlier this month and the newest installment was an emotional rollercoaster, to say the least! We won’t get into spoilers here in case you haven’t caught up, but Otis Milburn (Asa Butterfield) definitely did some growing up this season, we got somewhat of a resolution for his relationship with Maeve Wiley (Emma Mackey), and there’s a major shakeup about go to down for Moordale Secondary School.

The third season ended on somewhat of a cliffhanger, just like season 2 did, and we’re all left wondering what the events of the finale mean for the future of this Netflix Original. Fans have been convinced Sex Education season 4 would be happening, because why wouldn’t it be? There are still so many questions we have about our favorite British students, and we need more content from them!

High school shows can be hard to keep going for a long time simply because, well, students are only in school for so many years. However, Otis and the crew still have more schooling to go! There’s still more of this lovely story to tell. So what’s the renewal status?

Is Sex Education season 4 happening?

Well, we come bearing great news, Sex Education fans! Netflix is hosting their virtual event TUDUM this afternoon, and the comedy series had their own slot. There, they announced Sex Education season 4 is officially a go! Two of the cast members, Ncuti Gatwa and Kedar Williams-Stirling, appeared on screen to share the amazing news.

It was incredibly subtle, but you can check out the announcement in the clip below.

We don’t have a release date yet for Sex Education season 4, but at least we officially know it’s happening!
