Is Practical Magic on Netflix for Halloween 2021?

Practical Magic, based on a novel by the same name, premiered in 1998. The film stars Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman as Sally and Gillian Owens. Directed by Griffin Dunne, the film rounds out its supporting cast with performances by Dianne Wiest, Stockard Channing, Evan Rachel Wood and Aidan Quinn.

The film received less than stellar reviews from critics. However, Bullock and Kidman were applauded for their performances and on-screen chemistry in Practical Magic. Along with the ensuing cat and mouse game between the sisters and a detective from Tucson investigating the disappearance of her boyfriend.

Practical Magic’s plot is drastically different than the book but still captures the spirit brought alive in the spell-binding novel. The film highlights the strength of the sisters’ bond, no matter their differences. Campy, magical and family-oriented, Practical Magic is the perfect choice for audiences of all ages this Halloween.

Is Practical Magic on Netflix?

Unfortunately, Practical Magic and Sandra Bullock fans will have to catch the film somewhere else this Halloween season as it is not currently available for streaming on Netflix. It is unclear if or when the movie will come back to Netflix.
