Is Carrie on Netflix for Halloween 2021?

We have another movie you should watch to prepare you for Halloween 2021, and it’s a film you’re probably familiar with. Carrie should be added to your must-watch Halloween movies list immediately. And we’re not talking about the 2013 remake, but instead the 1976 classic.

There’s a reason why people love Carrie so much, and it’s because it’s a spellbinding film that captures your attention and never lets go! It’s truly a horror film with a simple yet unique premise.

Of course, props mostly go to Stephen King, who wrote the 1974 book that the movie is based on. But, screenwriter Lawrence D. Cohen and director Brian De Palma took King’s words and created something that is special and timeless. Oh, and we can’t forget Sissy Spacek’s amazing performance as Carrie in the film!

I mean, a story about an unpopular teenage girl who develops telekinetic powers and wreaks havoc on the ones who bullied her is just pure gold! And we’ve seen so many films that were inspired by Carrie. So I guess you could say Carrie left its mark on the horror genre.

The horror film is not on Netflix, and it won’t be coming to the streamer for Halloween 2021. Unfortunately, this is another Halloween film like Halloweentown and The Haunted Mansion that you’ll have to watch elsewhere.

Don’t fret because there are plenty of horror movies on Netflix that are just as spine-chilling and gory as Carrie. The Strangers, Sinister 2 and Truth or Dare are all great horror movie selections available on Netflix right now.
