The Haunted Mansion is no exception with its many scares and laughs throughout the film. The Haunted Mansion is a 2003 horror comedy film written by David Berenbaum and directed by Rob Minkoff. The horror film is led by Coming 2 America‘s Eddie Murphy with Murder Mystery‘s Terence Stamp, Nathaniel Parker, Marsha Thomason, Jennifer Tilly, Wallace Shawn and many more.

The film is about a realtor (Jim) who tries to bring his family back together by going on a family vacation. While on their way, they end up making a pit stop at a mansion that Jim is trying to sell. They later find out the mansion is haunted, and they try to escape. While trying to escape, Jim learns about the importance of family.

This film was received negatively by critics when it was released, but families all over enjoyed this film, and it became a Halloween classic just like Halloweentown. It’s definitely one of the first movies that come to mind when thinking of Halloween.

Is The Haunted Mansion on Netflix?

Sadly, this spooky film is not on Netflix, and it won’t be coming to the streamer for Halloween 2021. The reasoning being that Disney and Netflix ended their partnership back in 2019.

So don’t be on the lookout for this Halloween movie. Instead, you can look forward to the upcoming thriller film Night Teeth, which makes its way to the streamer on Oct. 20.
