Does Chloe die in Lucifer season 6?

Lucifer season 6 is now streaming on Netflix and, among many things, we feared the death of our favorite characters, including Detective Chloe Decker. What happens to Chloe in the final season?

It’s an understatement to say that the Lucifer series has been to hell and back! Lucifer was canceled at FOX and picked up by Netflix after it reached and gained a large following on the streaming platform. However, after two additional seasons, Netflix decided not to renew it.

Fans weren’t having it, though! They campaigned for a final season, and here we are now. We all have a large wishlist of things we want to see, from wedding events to a happily ever after. And while I know show creators can’t please everyone, it’s safe to say that Chloe Decker not dying is at the top of our list!

What happens to Chloe in Lucifer season 6?

Chloe does die in Lucifer season 6, but not in the way we may have imagined. In fact, we’re glad to have seen it.

Lucifer makes the tough choice of going back to Hell to help lost souls find their way to Heaven. After Dan finds himself in Hell due to some regrets, Lucifer discovers that he can help others like Dan leave Hell and find peace, leading them to Heaven.

This means that Lucifer and Chloe had to part ways. I’ll be honest, I’m upset that Lucifer wasn’t able to travel back and forth to visit Chloe, Trixie and Rory. But I suppose that’s how it had to be…

This is why I’m glad we got to see Chloe reunite with Lucifer, even if this was after death. At the very least, Chloe died of old age and didn’t suffer or had an untimely death. She got to enjoy a long life with her daughter Trixie and Rory, and her closest friends.

After Chloe passes, we see her return to the age she was when she met Lucifer and reunite with him to begin their forever!
