When it comes to Lucifer couples, there have been many incredible duos introduced across the show’s six seasons, but none quite compare to the couple who have been at the heart of the series from day one.

We’re, of course, referring to Chloe and Lucifer — or Deckerstar as we adoringly refer to them as — whose love story has been the beating heart of the show from the very first episode of the series. The chemistry between the characters has been there from the start, but it took the couple a long time to finally act upon their feelings. Even after doing so, it’s been quite the bumpy road for the pair who have had to overcome obstacle after obstacle on their path to being together.

After seeing the pair overcome all of the bumps in the road, the hope heading into the show’s sixth and final season would be that the pair would finally get their happy ending… while checking off a few boxes in the process of doing so.

Among the many items at the top of fans’ wishlists has for several seasons now has been a Deckerstar wedding, but did that wish finally come to fruition in the final episodes of Lucifer?

Final spoiler warning!

Do Lucifer and Chloe get married in Lucifer season 6?

In what might be one of the most disappointing twists in Lucifer‘s six-season run, Chloe and Lucifer do not get married in the final season of the show. That’s right, there was no Deckerstar wedding in the final 10 episodes of the series and no wedding bells were ringing for Lucifer and Chloe in Lucifer season 6.

Although the couple did not exchange I Do’s during the show’s final season, the couple did get a happy ending of sorts before the series faded to black.

In the series finale, Lucifer makes the difficult decision to leave his family behind on Earth in order to return to Hell in order to take on the role of healer in helping the lost souls find peace and make their way to Heaven. As a result, Lucifer must bid Chloe farewell leaving her to live a full life on Earth before passing away of old age.

Following her death, Chloe is taken to Hell by Amenadiel where she reunites with Lucifer in the show’s finale scene.

So there you have it, while Lucifer and Chloe do end up together at the end of the series, the pair never actually make it down the aisle and get married in the show’s final season.

Lucifer season 6 is streaming now on Netflix.
