The moment all Must See TV fans have been waiting for has finally arrived. After Netflix announced that Seinfeld would be coming to the streamer in 2021, we at long last have an official release date for the beloved classic sitcom about nothing.

On Sept. 1, Netflix announced on Twitter that Seinfeld would be available for fans to add to their watch lists in October 2021. The news comes after months of waiting for word on when the fan-favorite sitcom would be added to Netflix’s ranks.

Although Netflix has lost a few heavy hitters like The Office and Friends to other platforms as of late, the streamer has been beefing up its roster with big properties like 30 Rock, Friday Night Lights, Saved By the Bell and other nostalgic favorites.

But we’re fully expecting Seinfeld to catch another wave of renewed popularity once the influential comedy makes its way to Netflix. For more information on the exact release date for the sitcom and how many seasons you can watch, we have you covered.

When is Seinfeld coming to Netflix?

The official release date for the classic NBC sitcom is Friday, Oct. 1, which further solidifies that October will be an incredible month of new releases for Netflix. On top of new seasons of You and Locke and Key and the new movie Army of Thieves, we’ll be spoiled this fall.

Expect the Emmy Award-winning hit series to start streaming on Netflix at 12:01 a.m. PT and 3:01 a.m. ET, which is a bit on the late side but totally worth it for fans eager to start binge-watching. Not to mention, the October release is just in time to celebrate Festivus in December.

How many seasons of Seinfeld are on Netflix?

You don’t have to worry about only a few seasons of the series hitting Netflix because we have great news. All nine seasons and 180 episodes will be available to watch on Oct. 1. While it’s unusual for a partial series to stream, it’s a question worth answering for fans.

Now that the series will call Netflix its new home, it’s the perfect time for fans who have been looking for a new throwback comedy to watch to finally take the plunge and see what all the hype is about. There’s certainly a reason you have always heard to much about this show!
