Netflix shows like Friends: Friends from College

Seasons: 2

Created By: Francesa Delbanco and Nicholas Stoller

Starring: Keegan-Michael Key, Fred Savage, Annie Parisse, Nat Faxon, Jae Suh Park, Cobie Smulders

There’s a dead giveaway in the title of the Netflix original comedy series Friends from College that it shares some kind of sensibility with Friends: the word “friends.” And both comedies, in fact, hover over the same concept of longtime friends stumbling through life together one major misstep at a time. However, Friends from College makes even bigger hot messes out of its characters.

Now in their 40s and traversing the choppy waters of marriage and parenthood, a group of Harvard grads navigates their intertwined relationships in New York City. Friends from College takes on a much more darkly comic tone than Friends, but the complicated yet humorous situations that arise through friendship are all there. The series features a stellar cast and ran for two short seasons.
