Malcolm and Marie was released on Netflix on Friday, Feb. 5, 2021, and it definitely caught the attention of many Netflix users. And, why wouldn’t it?

Not many movies have Zendaya and John David Washington leading the way! The film has an interesting story behind it, too. The movie was written and filmed entirely during quarantine when almost all other movies and shows were delayed because of the coronavirus pandemic. I don’t know how exactly they did it, but they managed to film the movie safely and getting released during that time.

The Netflix movie tells the story of, you guessed it, Malcolm and Marie, a couple who just attended an awards show. Malcolm is a filmmaker, you see. Then, some stuff goes down and we get to see it unfold!

Malcolm and Marie is one of the most successful Netflix movies of this year. We could definitely see the movie nominated for a number of awards this season, perhaps maybe even an Oscar? We’ll have to see how it all plays out, but I have high hopes for this one.
