Thanks to Stranger Things executive producer and director Shawn Levy, we’ve known for a few days that there was a new teaser trailer for Stranger Things season 4 coming soon. Well, the new trailer is finally here!

As of Aug. 6 at 9:00 a.m. EST, we finally have our first footage from the upcoming season. Anyone else getting a bit emotional? In the teaser, SO MUCH happens! “The world has been watching,” an overlay of text reads, which couldn’t be more true. We see the group of kids so much more grown up, Hopper is back, and that ominous clock is featured. In one scene, it looks like Eleven is being taken away, and I just need to know more!

This is not the full trailer for Stranger Things season 4. That will come later! We also didn’t get the official release date yet, either. That, too, will be on the way after production ends.

It seems like forever since we saw the last Stranger Things season 4 teaser trailer, which featured Dr. Brenner, Eleven, and a bunch of kids in the Rainbow Room at the Hawkins National Lab.

Unfortunately, and as we mentioned, the new Stranger Things season 4 teaser trailer did not announce the full release date, but it did confirm a big rumor about the new season of the Netflix original series. Stranger Things season 4 is not coming in 2021. You have to wait until 2022 to watch the new season of the series.

Stranger Things season 4 trailer

We shared the Stranger Things season 4 teaser trailer below!

The teaser trailer features some old footage from season 1, season 2, and season 3. We also got a few glimpses of what’s to come in Stranger Things season 4.

Stranger Things season 4 is still filming in Georgia and New Mexico, although it will be ending soon. We’ve seen several Stranger Things actors confirm that they are finished filming or will be ending soon, including Joe Keery, Cara Buono, and David Harbour. Much earlier this year, new cast member, Sherman Augustus, said on Instagram that production would likely end in August, and it appears that will happen. Levy also revealed as much to Collider in a recent interview.

We should be getting more looks at Stranger Things season 4 in the coming months. We still have at least two more teaser trailers left like the “From Russia With Love” teaser and the “Eleven, Are You Listening?” teaser. Then, we should get a release date and full-length trailers after those teasers are released.

We’re still not sure on the timeline of all that stuff for Stranger Things season 4. Hopefully, we’ll find out more information soon!
