Outer Banks

The action-adventure series, Outer Banks, will release its second season next week. This is a great time to watch the first season if you haven’t already. You can also re-watch it just because it is so good.

This series is set in the Outer Banks of North Carolina and follows a group called the Pogues. In season 1, the group stumbles upon a legendary treasure that could change all their lives.

The main cast consists of Chase Stokes, Madelyn Cline, Madison Bailey, Jonathan Daviss, Rudy Pankow, Austin North, Charles Esten and Drew Starkey.

This series has been a huge hit for Netflix, and fans can’t wait to see season 2 when it releases on July 30.

The Movies That Made Us

This series is a documentary that tells the stories behind movies that are a major part of pop culture. The Movies That Made Us takes us behind the scenes of popular movies and their creation.

The first season looked at four movies, Dirty Dancing, Home Alone, Ghostbusters and Die Hard. All four of these movies were very popular during their release but have stood the test of time and have become classics. A special holiday version, Holidays That Made Us, takes a look at the holiday films Elf and The Nightmare Before Christmas.

This week, the second season was released. It looks at Back to the Future, Pretty Woman, Jurassic Park and Forest Gump. Again, four movies that did outstanding upon release and are forever cemented into our minds. With behind-the-scenes interviews and cast and crew, fans of these films get a deeper dive into the good and bad behind these movies.

This series is a spin-off of The Toys That Made Us, also available on Netflix. Just as the title suggests, this series looks at toys that shaped a generation.
