Never Have I Ever season 2 ending explained: Does Devi end up with Ben or Paxton?

Going into Never Have I Ever season 2, the leading question on every viewer’s mind revolved around one thing and one thing only: Who did Devi choose?

In the aftermath of the Never Have I Ever season 1 finale, the state of Devi’s personal affairs was definitely left up in the air. After spreading her father’s ashes in the ocean, Devi (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan) met back up with Ben (Jaren Lewison) in his car for a long-awaited kiss.

Meanwhile, Paxton (Darren Barnet) finally wised up and realized he had feelings for Devi. During her lip-lock with Ben, Paxton leaves a voicemail that only serves to further confuse Devi regarding her own feelings about both of the boys in her life.

Even though Devi decides to juggle both Ben and Paxton at the start of the season, thanks to Fabiola’s (Lee Rodriguez) innocent mention of dating both, Devi doesn’t ultimately end up with Ben in season 2. When her two-timing ruse is revealed, she loses both of her boyfriends.

Ben starts dating Aneesa (Megan Suri), the new student in school and fellow Indian girl who sends Devi into a spiral. In spite of her lingering feelings for Ben resulting in jealousy, Devi and Ben don’t manage to make it work. However, Ben now knows that Devi always had feelings for him.

Does Devi end up with Paxton in Never Have I Ever season?

Paxton breaks up with Devi at her house party when the truth comes out about her scheme, leading the swimmer to get hit by a car and break his arm. Because of Devi’s lies, Paxton’s college swimming hopes are dashed, and the pair smooth things over through studying.

Although it’s a rocky road of harsh words exchanged and secrets long kept, Devi and Paxton end up together in Never Have I Ever season 2. Paxton shows up at the winter dance for Devi, running her over with his car in the process, and publicly shows off his feelings for her.
