Netflix is killing it in July with teen shows and movies buzzing up a storm for the streamer. We’ve been getting major goosebumps with the Fear Street trilogy every week but come Thursday, July 15, we’ll be dealing with something just as scary.

That’s right, we’ll be taking an even closer look at the trials and tribulations of high school with a side order of teen love and hormones scorching up the hallways. We’re headed on another ride with Devi in Never Have I Ever season 2.

Last season, she was concerned with being boyfriend-less but with two boys vying for her attention, that’s no longer a problem. Romantic entanglements were exactly what Devi wanted but making a choice between Paxton and Ben is difficult for her. Cue the pros and cons list!

Season 2 of this coming-of-age comedy puts Devi to the test. What does she want? And, if she takes too long to figure it out, could she lose her chance at love?

Here’s what we know!

Never Have I Ever season 2 synopsis

The official synopsis for Never Have I Ever season 2 via Netflix:

"In Season 2 of the coming-of-age comedy Never Have I Ever, Indian American teenager Devi (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan) continues to deal with the everyday pressures of high school and drama at home, while also navigating new romantic relationships."

So, love triangle? Check. Impending move to India? Check. Oh, and some competition is headed Devi’s way as well. As the trailer for the season teases, our young lead will have to contend with Anisa, a new student who’s also Indian.

Should Devi be dissolving into a mess of jealousy and anxiety over her arrival? No, but emotions are irrational and all she can see is that Anisa is prettier and cooler than her. Hopefully, Devi snaps out of what’s likely to be a one-sided competition fest, but we doubt it’ll be quick.

Get ready for some ill-advised plans and regrettable decisions, Netflix Lifers, the new season is almost here!
