Virgin River season 3: Was Jack’s sister in Virgin River season 2?

The wait for Virgin River season 3 is officially over! On July 9, the third season of Netflix’s breakout drama finally arrived and it’s quickly proved to be another incredible season with plenty of drama, romance, action and laughter to enjoy across the season’s 10 episodes.

Picking up shortly after where season 2 left off, the show wasted no time in revealing that Jack survived the gunshot wound he suffered in the closing moments of season 2.

As we jump ahead a few weeks out from his recovery, Jack is recovering nicely from his injury and he, fortunately, has a great support network to help him in his recovery including Mel and his sister Brie.

Who plays Jack’s sister in Virgin River season 3?

Jack’s sister in Virgin River is played by actress Zibby Allen, who has appeared in a number of shows and movies over the years including a pair of Netflix favorites.

Grey’s Anatomy fans will recognize Allen as Nurse Zibby, a role she played across a number of seasons on the ABC medical drama. You might also recognize Allen from her role as Dr. Tanya Lamden in The Flash or as Rita in fellow CW series Nancy Drew. 

Was Zibby Allen in Virgin River season 2?

Given the way in which Zibby Allen’s character Brie was introduced, it almost felt as though we had previously met the character in season 2; however, Allen is a new character who made her debut in season 3 of Virgin River. 

It’s actually a testament to the writers that it felt as though Allen’s character had been previously introduced as she just clicked so naturally and it felt as though we had previously met her even though she only came to town in the season 3 premiere under the guise of coming to support Jack.

As we discovered later in the season, that was only part of the reason for her arrival as Brie was also running away from some problems from her life back in the city. Regardless of what brought her to town, Brie quickly became a central part of the show in season 3 not just through her connection with Jack but in the relationship she begins with Brady.
