Bethany Hamilton: Unstoppable

If you have watched the film Soul Surfer, you will need to watch Bethany Hamilton: Unstoppable, as it is a documentary about Hamilton’s experience and beyond. Soul Surfer was a biographical film based on Hamilton’s story, but Unstoppable is the real account of her life.

Unstoppable takes a further look into the life of Hamilton and her family. Hamilton refused to let the shark attack that changed her life forever define her and prevent her from accomplishing her dreams. Against all odds, Hamilton has become one of the leading professional surfers in the world.

Over a decade after her devastating accident, Hamilton has turned her life into something people can learn from and draw inspiration from.

This is a feel-good story you must add to your watchlist.

Rip Tide

Rip Tide is a coming-of-age teen drama that follows the life of teen model Ryan as she escapes her overwhelming life in America and heads to Australia to reconnect with what is important in her life.

Debby Ryan plays the main character, Cora Hamilton, who, after an embarrassing video of her goes viral, needs to get away from New York and the fast-paced lifestyle. She travels to Australia to stay with her Aunt Margot (Genevieve Hegney). She befriends a local, Chicka (Naomi Sequeira), and they form a fast friendship.

Cora learns much about herself while experiencing some downtime in a much more laid-back community than the hustle of NYC. Her true passion is fashion design, and while she is away, she receives the support of the venture that she has never received from her mother or others in New York. Cora and her aunt are both facing difficulties in their lives, which forms a special bond between them. Their time together is therapeutic for both of them.

It is a sweet, light story that is sure to leave you feeling good after watching.
