Too Hot to Handle

The reality dating show Too Hot to Handle is a dating series with a twist. The contestants unwittingly agreed to a clause that requires them to avoid any sexual contact for four weeks.

The series has been well received, and fans are already watching the second season, which was released on June 23, with a third season to follow.

The first season had 14 contestants that resulted in 10 winners. There are 10 contestants for the second season. The new season will release 4 episodes on June 23, with the remaining 6 premiering on June 30. Following the rules of the first season, the contestants are penalized for each sexual act they engage in. The fines are steep, $3000 for a kiss or $20,000 for going ‘all the way.’

Season 2 begins with many beautiful people receiving rules from the host, Lana, a robot type like Alexa or Siri who enforces the rules. The contestants’ reactions are what you would expect, especially when they realize which reality show they are on. The contestants are not told which show they will be on until Lana informs them.

Too Hot to Handle season 2, is filmed in Turks and Caicos and is sure to be as popular as the first season.

MILF

From the title alone, you might have figured out the synopsis for the French film, MILF.  Three women of a certain age are tasked with packing up a beach house that belongs to one of them before new owners take possession. Honestly, they really should have used a different title for this film, but that’s just my opinion.

The setting is in the South of France, making for a beautiful getaway for the three BFFs. Cecile is a mother and recent widow. Elise is a mother and divorcee, and Sonia, who has never been married, is dating a man her friends refer to as “Mr. A**hole.” They travel to Cecile’s beach home in Cote d’Azur to vacation and pack her belongings to sell the property.

The title might make you think this film will be steamy or raunchy, but it is more like Bridesmaids. Three friends are experiencing different seasons of their lives while enjoying a summer at the beach. Throw in some hunky 20-something neighbors who make connections with the ladies, and you have a fun romantic comedy.

Axelle Laffont, Marie-Josée Croze and Virginie Ledoyen play Elise, Sonia and Cecile, respectively. Laffont also served as director and her real life daughter Mitty Hazanavicius plays her duaghter, Nina, in the film.
