Falling Inn Love

The Netflix original movie, Falling Inn Love, was originally released in 2019. It’s an endearing tale. This film is another good one to add to your favorites in the romantic comedy list.

Gabriela Diaz (Christina Millian) loses her job and her man all in the same week. On a whim, she enters a “Win and Inn” contest and actually wins. She then travels to New Zealand to claim her prize, only to discover the inn is in severe disrepair.

The local B&B owner, Charlotte (Anna Jullienne), had her eye on the property and did what she can to discourage Gabriela from keeping the property. Luckily, a local restoration expert, Jake Taylor (Adam Demos), agrees to partner with Gabriela in her eco-renovation of the inn.

As with all romantic comedies, there are the laughs and the tears, as well as someone who wants to ruin someone else’s life. It is a cute story worth the watch.

Nights in Rodanthe

You can never go wrong with a Nicholas Sparks movie. Nights in Rodanthe is a romantic tale of two divorcees looking for something worthwhile in a world that has caused both of them much heartache.

Richard Gere and Diane Lane meet again in their third film collaboration. Previously, they starred in The Cotton Club (1984) and Unfaithful (2002). Lane plays Adrienne Willis, a recent divorcee who seeks solitude at her friend’s North Carolina bed and breakfast. Gere plays Paul Flanner, a surgeon who performed a surgery that ended the patient’s life whose family is now suing him. He is the only weekend guest at the B&B.

During a storm, the pair join forces to protect the inn and end up sharing some very intimate time together. They support one another during these tough times they are experiencing, which creates an extraordinary bond.

This film is a tear-jerker but will leave you with a feeling of hope.
