What is The Innocent about?

The Innocent is a limited series that is coming soon to the streaming platform, and it definitely looks like a juicy show that we can’t wait to sink our teeth into. The show is a part of the many new releases coming out in April 2021.

The Innocent premieres on April 30.

We’re here to tell you why this particular title is one you certainly don’t want to miss.

What is The Innocent about?

Based on the book by Harlen Coben, The Innocent is about a man, Mateo Vidal, who, while fighting, accidentally murdered a man. After serving his sentence, he tries to put his grave mistake behind him and manages to find a new love with whom he wants to spend the rest of his life. However, old bones begin to resurface, and his life turns into a complete whirlwind. Divine judgment is hard to escape and Mateo has plenty of sins he needs to atone for.

The official synopsis for the series, via Netflix:

"An accidental killing leads a man down a dark hole of intrigue and murder. Just as he finds love and freedom, one phone call brings back the nightmare."

The lead man for the original series is actor Mario Casas, and he has also been in some other Netflix titles such as The Paramedic, The Invisible Guest, Palm Trees in the Snow, and a few more. It’s safe to say that Casas is becoming a Netflix staple.
