Shows and movies on Netflix: The Stand In

Who doesn’t love a Drew Barrymore movie? If you’re missing Santa Clarita Diet, you’ll certainly want to check out The Stand In on Netflix this week.

The 2020 movie follows Barrymore as Candy Black, a Hollywood star who is ordered to go to rehab by a judge. Of course, that’s not something she wants. Instead of going there herself, she hires her stand-in to do it for her.

Can the world believe in the stand-in? What happens when “Candy” is asked to do interviews to show how much she’s changed? And what happens when the world learns the full truth?

While this movie is not winning anyone any Oscars, it’s a great way to just chill out and relax. It’s made purely for entertainment.

Check out The Stand In on Saturday, April 10.
