What is the sci-fi movie Skylines on Netflix about?

The 100 ended last year and with the series finale came the final bow for Lindsey Morgan’s character Raven Reyes. But if you’ve ever wanted to see the actress in the driver’s seat of a sci-fi action vehicle then you need to watch Skylines.

Morgan currently plays Micki Ramirez on the new CW series Walker, which is a reboot of the classic show Walker, Texas Ranger.

In Walker, instead of dealing with a post-apocalyptic Earth and saving the world with her genius intelligence and knowledge of tech, Morgan’s a Texas Ranger and partner to Jared Padalecki’s Cordell Walker.

But she hasn’t bid farewell to the fast-paced and action driven world of science fiction. Back in 2020, she took up the role of Rose Corley in the final film of the Skyline trilogy, Skylines, which is now streaming on Netflix.

What is Skylines?

The Skyline trilogy began in 2010 with Jerrod and Elaine, a couple who witness an alien invasion. Its conclusion comes full circle with Morgan’s Rose, a survivor of that invasion and Jerrod and Elaine’s daughter.

Rose is a captain gifted with the ability to engage with alien technology. It’s a power that makes her vital in the mission to save humanity. Tasked with leading an elite force of soldiers, Rose must use her gifts to combat a virus turning the once friendly alien hybrids inhabiting Earth against humans.

Fans of The 100‘s Raven Reyes should prepare to see Morgan show viewers exactly how fierce she can be at the helm of a science fiction fantasy that takes out of this world to new heights.

Unfortunately, the first film in the Skyline trilogy isn’t available on Netflix (it’s on HBO Max), so if you’re looking to do a triple feature binge that’s not in the cards on this streamer. But the second film Beyond Skyline can be streamed on the platform, so at least there’s room for a double feature with Netflix.
