The title of the series does give it away. The latest in Netflix’s growing list of reality shows is all about couples choosing between their dream wedding and their dream house.

This is a choice many have to make. Some will opt for the wedding to solidify their relationship and to have a big party with those they love the most. Others will opt for the security of a house and opt for a smaller wedding or one a few years later.

There isn’t really a wrong or right answer. Well, that is until now.

And no, you can’t have both. I mean, to be honest, one of them has to come first, right? You can’t buy a house and get married at exactly the same time!

What is Marriage or Mortgage on Netflix?

Marriage or Mortgage will see a wedding planner Sarah Miller and real estate agent Nichole Holmes battle it out for the business of these couples.

While Sarah shows the couples the dream wedding they can gain with their money, Nichole shows them the houses that are available. The couples get to realistically see what is possible, making it easier (and sometimes a lot harder) to choose between the two options.

This series is perfect for those who love the likes of The Bachelor and Love at First Sight. It’s great for those who adore Four Weddings and for those who love the likes of Wanted Down Under (it’s a real estate program not a true-crime program!).

Honestly, if you love seeing what is possible for a certain amount of money or what other people’s dreams are, then let yourself loose on the series. If you’re already fretting about the cost of weddings and mortgages, this may be something to sit out for now.
