Where are they now: 15 stars from canceled Netflix shows

If the show is good, it doesn’t take much for us to get attached to the actors who have embodied the characters we now know and love. In 2020, Netflix canceled dozens of shows, taking with them the faces we’d taken comfort in binge-watching every day and it’s about time we check in on these 15 actors from canceled Netflix shows and what they’re up to now.

Whether it was a very short-lived animated series like Hoops or a long-time beloved series like Santa Clarita Diet or Jessica Jones, actors like Jake Johnson and David Tennant make a lasting impression, and we miss their characters when they leave us. Yes, even if they are crass basketball coaches or devilishly disturbing villains.

It’s also fun to see an actors versatility over the years and keep up with the growth and recognition of up-and-coming stars like Amybeth McNulty, primarily known for her role on Anne With an E, and Paul James whose face you may recognize from Greek, but who more recently shined in his staring role on Soundtrack.

Looking at the past achievements of our favorite actors and getting ready to mark on our streaming calendars their upcoming projects is one of the more fun parts of a fan’s journey and is a chance to give even more recognition to the actors who have given us so many reasons to spend hours watching Netflix.

Keep reading to catch up with these 15 actors from canceled Netflix shows and what they’re up to now.

What is Kiernan Shipka from Chilling Adventures of Sabrina doing now?

Famous for her portrayal of the blonde, bewitching, and Satan-fighting teen spell caster on Netflix’s Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Kiernan Shipka was quick to prove she had a gift for the dark and mysterious. Her role as the youngest Spellman had audiences spell-bound. That is, until the four-part, two-season series became one of the canceled Netflix shows in July of 2020.

However, Shipka has two other projects in the works, including Swimming with Sharks, now in post-production. This Lionsgate Television series drama is centered around a studio’s female assistant. While she finds herself caught in a whirlpool of manipulators, schemers and intrigue, the assistant is poised to outwit them all.

And, Shipka doesn’t appear to have any intention of leaving her witch days behind her. Now in pre-production, her new project, Strangers of Argo Hill, is a sci-fi film centered around a young man named Thomas Blitzhalter (Jordon Snelenberger) who discovers an alternate universe that is ruled by a powerful witch called a Sythian.

Thoma, his sister, and his friends find themselves in a fight to save the universe of Valya, which could have a direct impact on Earth as well.
