Lara Jean Covey and Peter Kavinsky are enjoying their final year of high school in the newly-released To All the Boys: Always and Forever, and beyond all the stress of figuring out if they’ll be going to college together, they also are able to make some unforgettable memories.

The final film in the To All the Boys movie series on Netflix features tons of cute moments for LJ (Lana Condor) and Peter (Noah Centineo), including the ongoing decision of picking their song. Lara Jean explains to Peter early on in the movie what a meet-cute is, disappointed that she doesn’t think they didn’t have one, and also states they need to have a song. Throughout the film, the two go back and forth on what track is worthy of becoming theirs, usually disagreeing.

Peter sends Lara Jean his Oasis playlist, and she dismisses it as not being her type of music. The pair attempt to pick a song while at the diner, but after getting “Tutti Frutti” on the jukebox, they decide against it.

Eventually, when LJ and Peter are in New York City on their school trip, something clicks. Lara Jean is out with her BFF Chris (Madeleine Arthur) at an NYU party, and though she’s having fun without Peter, something makes her think of him. The band plays a song called “Beginning Middle End” and the lyrics speak to Lara Jean. She records part of the performance on her phone and sends it to Peter, however he isn’t exactly thrilled about it since he wasn’t there.

“Beginning Middle End” song from To All the Boys 3

By the end of the movie, of course, Peter comes around. When the two get back together, Peter starts playing “Beginning Middle End” on his phone, and they sweetly dance to it. When Lara Jean says she thought he didn’t like the song, Peter says he does, but that they “just had to find a way to make it [theirs].” So cute!

So what is this “Beginning Middle End” song? Well, it was actually written just for To All the Boys 3! The track is by Leah Nobel, and you can listen to it via YouTube below.

The song is part of the official soundtrack for To All the Boys 3, which you can check out here.

By listening to the lyrics, no one can deny how perfect the song is for Lara Jean Covey and Peter Kavinsky. I’ll definitely be listening to this adorable soundtrack all weekend!
