The CW has done it again. It’s granted an early renewal for all its current shows, which means All American season 4 is officially happening.

There is one great thing about The CW. In recent years, it’s routinely renewed shows early. And this isn’t just about the odd one or two shows. Usually, it’s the full block of current shows, as long as they’re performing well.

We all know what happened to All American after its first season. It was Netflix that helped save this show, and it continues to grow in popularity. Since then, the teen football drama has been renewed along with the rest of the group, and the latest renewal is no exception.

Variety announced that The CW has renewed its entire slate except two new series that are still to debut (and even get premiere dates). That includes All American season 4.

When will All American season 4 premiere?

The early renew is surprising. The CW’s shows have only just returned due to the network opting for a pandemic-proof schedule in the fall. It’s certainly come with positivity from viewers who haven’t had to deal with weeks on and weeks off in the schedule like with CBS, NBC, and ABC shows.

We weren’t really expecting the renewals until a little later into the season, but The CW wants to get a jump on things. By renewing everything on the air (plus Superman & Lois and all current shows still to premiere new seasons), the network can plan ahead a little better.

It also allows the shows to get to work. The writers can meet, even if virtually, to discuss the new seasons and start on the scripts. This helps with filming, which is still relatively uncertain due to the pandemic not being over yet.

The CW continues to show faith in the All American universe too. Just recently, it confirmed the spin-off focused on Simone. There’s plenty more to come!

We just don’t know when the season will premiere. Hopefully, it will be fall 2021.

Stay tuned for the latest on All American season 4 and more.
