Malcolm & Marie

We start with one of the most anticipated new movies during the month. This isn’t just about Netflix movies, but about all movies. Critics are calling for Zendaya to be nominated for an Oscar for this one.

Zendaya is Marie to John David Washington’s Malcolm. The two are walking home from Malcolm’s film premiere when they start throwing figurative stones at a literal glasshouse. Their relationship becomes the topic, and they need to figure out if they can make their love last.

Watch on Wednesday, Feb. 3.

Space Sweepers

Netflix has what is regarded as South Korea’s first space blockbuster in the form of Space Sweepers. Set in the year 2092, the movie gives us the story of The Victory’s crew. This crew needs to work together to get off Earth before the destruction of the planet.

While in space, there are jobs to do and an abandoned child to look after. It’s not as serious as it all sounds, though. This is a dramedy that is sure to entertain.

Check out Space Sweepers on Friday, Feb. 5.

To All the Boys 3

February is the month of love, so naturally, you’ll be looking out for a romance movie or two. What better movie than the third installment in the To All the Boys franchise?

To All the Boys: Always and Forever, Lara Jean is coming to Netflix this month. It continues the trilogy, following the story of the third book in the series. When LJ and Peter don’t get into the same college, they need to figure out if their relationship can work long-distance.

Can it?

I Care A Lot

If you like black comedy thrillers, you’ll want to check out one of the Netflix movies toward the end of the month. Peter Dinklage and Rosamund Pike star in I Care A Lot, and it’s already had rave reviews after premiering at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Pike is a successful lawyer who does her job because she cares…not. She’s a predator after people’s money, but she soon picks the wrong woman to mess with. When she ends up with her life on the line, she’ll have to decide if money is worth it or not.

Check out I Care A Lot on Feb. 19.

The Conjuring

The last of the good Netflix movies is a horror movie. The Conjuring and its sequel are coming to Netflix at the end of the month. You get two movies for the price of one.

Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson star in this movie that kicked off a whole franchise of creepy horror movies, telling the story based on a true story. When the Perron family moves into a farmhouse, things they can’t explain start happening. They call on the Warrens to see if there’s something ghostly and dangerous about their house.
