Inception

There are two movies to check out this week, and the first is Inception. It’s probably the biggest release from the first of the month drop, although there are some other excellent additions. Like I said, this list was hard to put together.

The Leonardo DiCaprio movie doesn’t need much introduction. He stars as Cobb, a man who goes into people’s dreams to steal information or anything that he’s paid to get. He’s also a criminal on the run from the law but with one hope in mind: to eventually reunite with his children.

When he’s given the chance to wipe his slate clean, he can’t help but take it. It leads to going into dreams within dreams, but if something goes wrong, it could mean the end for those trapped within those dream worlds.

The movie also stars Elliot Page, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Tom Hardy, and Cillian Murphy.

Watch Inception from Monday, Feb. 1 on Netflix.

Malcolm & Marie

Ready for something new? There’s plenty of that on the list of Netflix shows and movies to watch this week. Malcolm & Marie is the big movie release of the week.

Zendaya and John David Washington star in this epic movie that is all in black and white. It was filmed during the pandemic, and the story is just the two of them. Expect plenty of intimate moments and standout performances from the two of them. There are already calls for Zendaya to be nominated for an Oscar.

Washington is a filmmaker who has just had his first film premiere. His girlfriend was there by his side, and they are now walking home from the event, waiting for the critics to share their thoughts.

As they head home, they start talking about past relationships and their current relationship, which puts their love for each other to the test.

Watch Malcolm & Marie on Friday, Feb. 5 on Netflix.
