When is Walker on Netflix?

When will The CW series Walker starring Supernatural’s Jared Padalecki be on Netflix?

The CW has a brand new series to add to its impressive lineup, and it stars one half of Supernatural’s Winchester brothers. Jared Padalecki stars in Walker, a reboot of the ’90s series starring Chuck Norris called Walker, Texas Ranger, and many fans are eager to learn if it will ever be on Netflix.

There are so many CW programs on the streaming service that subscribers love to watch and revisit again and again. Shows like Riverdale, Charmed, All American, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, and Supernatural have resonated well with Netflix viewers, and it’s understandable why a lot of them would hope that Walker would join the rest.

Padalecki stars in the new CW series as Cordell Walker, who returns to Austin after two years to take on some big challenges. The widowed lawman has to navigate the struggles of keeping his family together, finding common ground with his new partner, and figuring out the truth behind the suspicious nature of his wife’s death.

Alongside the Supernatural alum, Walker features a talented cast including Lindsey Morgan, Molly Hagan, Coby Bell, Mitch Pileggi, and Keegan Allen, just to name a few. It was also announced that Jared’s real-life wife Genevieve Padalecki would return to acting for a recurring role on The CW series as Emily, Cordell’s late wife.

For those wondering whether or not Walker will be on Netflix at some point in the future, the news is not great by any means. Deadline reported that Walker is heading to HBO Max exclusively after its freshmen run ends on the network.

Walker isn’t the only series that Netflix will be losing out on to the Warner Media-owned streaming service. Hit CW series like Nancy Drew, Katy Keen, Batwoman, and The Republic of Sarah will be streaming on HBO Max.

While this is unfortunate news for those that call themselves both CW fans and Netflix subscribers, there are still plenty of great shows to watch on the streaming service. If The CW shows become tiresome, Netflix original series like The Queen’s Gambit, Outer Banks, or Ozark would be a solid choice to cheer up anyone disappointed Walker won’t be coming to Netflix.
